GI Oncology Position Associated with Nationally Ranked Teaching Facility Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Cancer Institute, one of the fastest-growing academic cancer centers in the state of Florida, is actively seeking applications for an early to mid-career physician with a clinical and research focus on GI malignancies. In addition to clinical responsibilities, candidates will be expected to participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows as well as collaborate with other investigators on cutting edge clinical and translational research. TGH has regularly scheduled GI & hepatobiliary tumor boards where most patients are discussed to formulate a multidisciplinary treatment plan. TGH Cancer Institute is closely affiliated with the University of South Florida Medical School. University of South Florida Medical School is a highly ranked public research university and is nationally ranked in 6 specialties by U.S. News & World Report and TGH Cancer Institute is also ranked in the top 10% for cancer treatment in the same publication. TGH Cancer Institute is currently seeking an NCI-designation and also boasts a large tissue biobank and a rapidly expanding clinical trial infrastructure. Additionally, the cancer institute has a expanding stem cell transplant and CAR-T cell therapy programs. The compensation package for this position includes an excellent base salary along with a bonus structure and generous sign-on bonus.
